Yesterday's Today

I have been reading a series of Mitch Albom books which led me to think about our ordinary life. What I mean by ordinary is our everyday God-given life with all the ups and downs. Sometimes fine and dandy, sometimes bad and hellish. The life that we actually live and not the make-believe or the life that we want to have. Life at present. What about it? Do we ever wonder why is it special in spite of it's ordinariness? I'll give you an example. The conversation between the captain and the main character-Eddie in Mitch Albom's book "5 People You Meet In Heaven:The captain said"Adam's first night on earth? When he lays down to sleep? He thinks it's all over, right? He doesn't know what sleep is. His eyes are closing and he thinks he's leaving this world, right. Only he isn't. He wakes up the next morning and he as a new fresh world to work with, but he has something else too, He has his yesterday." This is what makes our life special. We can have fun, a tragedy but we can always learn. Learning is what we get from ordinary life adventure.
